v1.0
Privacy policy
General info GalleryRAW is developed by one main developer as a fork based on another similar project, but with extended functionality. A few people help out from time to time, mostly with translations and adding new functionality. The privacy policy ("Policy") describes how information from users is collected, used and disclosed. By using GalleryRAW, you agree that your personal information will be treated as described in this Policy.
The application does not have access to the Internet, so it does not send anything outside of your device. The information GalleryRAW collects does not collect any personally identifiable information.
The WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission is required for the application to implement one of the main function - is to view, download and REMOVE photos in raw format (such as canon .cr3) from connected USB devices. Since I often use the app to view captured photos through the tablet directly on a memory card connected via usb adapter, download the best ones to the tablet and then clear the memory card to continue shooting. So permissions are used to access, edit, or delete RAW photos and videos from the external connected device. Unfortunately, the android operating system does not recognize some raw photo formats as media files so other types of permissions do not allow the app to work with them;
The USE_FINGERPRINT permission is required on Android below 10 to lock the app itself or certain features;
The Run At Startup feature is used to scan the SD card files after the device reboots in the background, because the first scan is very slow. Therefore, by the time the user starts the application manually, it will run faster.
Policy Changes When the Policy is changed, the date of change below will be updated.
The Policy may change from time to time, so be sure to check back periodically.
